Learn the secrets to a successful pitch from an executive who specialized in development and story analysis of both live-action and animation projects at Disney, Touchstone, Disney TV Animation, Paramount Pictures Television, and Island Pictures.
Based on her popular 4-week online class Pitch & Presentation, Kathie Fong Yoneda author of The Script-Selling Game, has taken all the necessary "tools" of pitching and put them into a comprehensive, hard-core one-day "boot camp" workshop where you'll learn the following:
- Loglines
- Elevator Pitches
- Pitch on Paper
- Pitch Outline
- 3-minute verbal pitch
- Elements of a postcard pitch
- Writing the query letter
- Tips on putting together a community of contacts
- Creating your own personal logline
Using lecture, handouts, and in-class exercises, writers will master the tools to enable them to attend pitch fests and writing conferences and market their projects to producers, execs, agents and book editors.
Upon registration, participants are asked to submit a one-page synopsis of their film, television, web series or novel project in advance and Kathie will give each writer her professional feedback as part of the workshop.
