Description
It's development season and it's time to pitch! In this class, you'll learn tips to help you be more confident about pitching your story and writing your pilot. We will review the pilots that were picked up this year and what stands out about them. We will also explore story structure in detail. I'll help you understand the different identities of each network so that you know where your story fits. Lastly, the meeting process and what makes a strong meeting will be covered.

About Jen Grisanti:
Jen Grisanti started her career as a second assistant to Aaron Spelling 15 years ago. For the next 12 plus years, Aaron mentored her as she climbed the ranks to a Current Programs Executive at Spelling Television Inc. covering shows including 90210, MELROSE, CHARMED, 7th Heaven and SUMMERLAND. In 2004, Jen was promoted to Vice President of Current Programs at CBS/Paramount where she covered shows including MEDIUM, NUMBERS, NCIS, 4400 and GIRLFRIENDS. While at CBS/Paramount, she served as a mentor in the CBS Diversity Program, which seeks out and nurtures young writers and directors.
In January 2008, Jen launched Jen Grisanti Consultancy Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to helping talented writers break into the industry. By drawing on her 11-year experience as a studio executive where she gave daily notes to executive producers/showrunners, Jen personally guides writers to shape their material, hone their pitches, and focus their careers.
In September 2008, Jen Grisanti Consultancy Inc. showcased its first Storywise Seminar at UCLA, offering participants her personal and unique perspective about writing for television and film, as well as bringing in seasoned writers and development executives for additional insights.
