The "Great Canadian PitchFest" and the "Great American PitchFest" are events where people with ideas and shows to sell meet with industry executives. Thousands of meetings will happen in just a few hours. Each meeting is a minimum of five minutes. If a company wants more time with you, we simply "hold the line" until they are ready to go again, meaning meetings can be as long as the company wants them to be.

Saturday, learn how to sell your ideas and shows by attending our special training sessions. Sunday, meet one on one with production companies, agents, managers, funding organizations, studios, networks and other industry representatives to pitch them your TV shows and movie ideas. Pitch until you drop!

A PitchFest is an opportunity for producers, writers, directors, and anyone with an idea to sell, to establish contact with the ‘power people’ of the television and film industry. This allows them to not only meet and build relationships with one another, but also a chance to discuss ideas and potentially develop programming together. Registration is limited for this event. For every five attendees, there is one decision maker invited, making this the lowest ratio of companies in attendance for any festival in the world.

At the Great American PitchFest, most participants meet with an average of 12-20 companies, although many meet with 30 companies or more. It is entirely possible to meet with nearly all of the companies attending if you wish to. A minimum of 50 companies are asked to attend, and more are invited as the number of participants increases. For every five participants, we invite another company or agent to attend. More Agents and Managers than at any other PitchFest.

You will be able to meet with as many companies as you like, and with whatever companies you wish. At last year's Great American PitchFest, we invited approximately 80 companies to hear pitches. We expect about the same for this year.

Because the ratio of companies to participants is high, this means you never have to wait very long to meet with them. Some companies may be more in demand than others, so their lineups may become slightly longer, leaving other lineups very short with minimum or no waits. As our registration grows, the number of invited companies is also increased so that lineups are consistently short. Often, some of the most beneficial relationships are formed in these lines, providing further opportunities to network and seek potential co-producers.

Writers, Producers, Directors, and anyone with an idea or show to pitch should not miss out on this incredible networking event. Many of our participants attend the PitchFest just to meet with companies and begin the important process of building professional relationships.
