Let BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD inspire you along the surreal journey of Angela M. Hutchinson. This Chicago native drove cross-country to launch her entertainment career in Los Angeles. Now as the founder of Breaking into Hollywood, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Angela helps other professionals in the entertainment industry pursue their careers with integrity, creativity and enthusiasm. 

Angela is a casting director, former talent agent, scriptwriter, published author, songwriter, magazine editor, entrepreneur, mentor, wife, and mother. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Angela earned her B.S.E. in Industrial & Operations Engineering. She is also a former Miss Teen Illinois Semi-Finalist. Angela has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television, and the Grammys. In October 2005, she was elected as the first African American president of The Scriptwriters Network, since the organization was founded in 1986. Nationwide, Angela has been a panelist at film festivals, a judge for talent showcases and a speaker within the faith-based community. Most notably, Angela was featured as an "Agent for Good" on the cover of Back Stage, one of the entertainment industry's leading publications. Inspired by the 2008 presidential elections, Angela became a more active voice in her community. In 2009, she was appointed as a Los Angeles City Official. 

Achieving these milestones by the age of 30 marks the passion and drive of a rising power player living out her Hollywood dream.

Meet the Author: Angela M. Hutchinson

This Chicago native drove cross-country at 22-years-old to pursue her entertainment career in Hollywood. Now with over eight years of industry experience, Mrs. Angela Marie Hutchinson has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television, and the Grammys. Angela is the author of several feature screenplays and two published books. Her children's picture book, "Charm Kids," is available online at Amazon and other retailers' websites. She also authored an adventure, comedic memoir entitled, "Breaking into Hollywood," which was released in November 2010 and is also available via Amazon.
