Read the rest of the series: Part 1; Part 2; Part 4; Part 5; Part 6 Metaphysics is not for amateurs. And that's on purpose. Everything you think you know about Conscious Media, spirituality, or metaphysics is probably wrong, half-wrong, upside-down and/or backwards, out of date, or too advanced to be of any use. The Duchess was such a disappointment. Though the wigs were beyond fabulous and the sets stunningly gorgeous and aristocratically dignified, the characters were flat, their dialogue practically non-existent, and their emotions understandably absent given the dearth of any context for the story. If you're going to do a period piece, do it up right. People, this was the Age of Enlightenment. The Age of Reason. The time of Revolutions. Of great philosophical, scientific, and social exploration, discovery, and change. It was a time of long, complex sentences that displayed the acumen of the speaker, who was most likely schooled in...

What is it that lures people over to the Dark Side? Your audience wants to find out how people and things go bad, so in your story, be sure to reveal some of how the characters become the way they are -- not to excuse their behavior but to get us engaged with them. In this excerpt from my book, The Power of the Dark Side, we'll explore triggers and processes that turn people bad and some of the ways things all go to heck in a hand basket. Sleeping with the enemy Since Adam took a bite from the...
