Matt Stuecken
Matt Stuecken worked at Sommers Company from its founding in 2002 through 2009, serving as its vice president for five years. During that time, he associate produced G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA for Paramount Pictures where he was involved in all aspects of the project including development to and through production, daily on-set creative input and daily postproduction participation.
He also served as an associate producer on MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR for Universal Pictures where he was involved from the inception of the idea. During his time at Sommers Company, he played an integral role in the setup and development of multiple motion picture projects. Prior to joining Sommers Company, Matt worked for Universal Pictures’ story department and as a story analyst for Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
Before relocating to Los Angeles, Matt spent several years in the Washington, D.C. area working on documentary projects, including the Learning Channel's "Great Books" series. Matt holds a BA degree (cum laude) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MFA degree from the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. While at USC, he co-wrote and produced THE TOWER OF BABBLE (narrated by Kevin Spacey), which played film festivals all over the world and won more than two dozen awards, including the Chrysler Million Dollar Film Festival. In addition, he produced a number of other award-winning shorts, including Jeff Wadlow's COCA-COLA REFRESHING FILMMAKER'S AWARD finalist film as well as the Chrysler-branded MANUAL LABOR.
