Helen Jacey

Helen Jacey is a professional screenwriter with over ten years experience in the UK film industry. She has sold or had optioned all her spec screenplays and has been commissioned to write numerous screenplays for UK and European Film Production Companies. 

Helen runs a two day seminar Helen Jacey’s Writing The Heroine’s Story for screenwriters which has
been described as "simply the best ever screenwriting course, better than McKee, better than anyone." 

Helen provides story consultancy for individual screenwriting projects as well as lectures on the MA in Screenwriting at two leading Screen Academies, University of the Arts London and Bournemouth University.  Due to complete her screenwriting doctorate in 2010, Helen holds a Masters in Screenwriting from the University of the Arts London. 

Prior to becoming a screenwriter, Helen worked at a senior level in international aid, setting up psychological programs for vulnerable women and children in Eastern Europe.
