The Cliche
by the Writers Store Team

Make a list of as many cliches as you can. For example, "What goes around comes around" or "Don't count your chickens before they hatch." Then choose an entry from your list and and write about it.

Defend it, argue against it, or maybe do a bit of both. Argue passionatley against it then rise to its defense.

You might create a character that only speaks in cliches. Then put the character in a situation that debunks all of his cliches.
